A 4,000 acre brush fire in the Lake Okeechobee area continues to burn leaving Boca Raton and surrounding areas smelling like smoke. The National Weather Service says winds from the northwest are bringing smoke in from the outer areas into the suburbs and cities. The smoke may linger until the easterly winds from the Atlantic Ocean strengthen in the afternoon. Firefighters say the blaze is contained within Lake Okeechobee's dike.
